The Kukke Subramanya temple is located in the Western Ghats of Karnataka in Subrahmanya Town, India. It is thought that by providing sanctuary here, Lord Subramanya shielded Vasuki (king of serpents) from Garuda. Sarpa Samskara: A potent two-day rite for people with Sarpa Dosha brought on by karma from previous lives or ancestral curses. A one-day rite to appease serpent gods and nullify doshas is called Ashlesha Bali.
Installing serpent idols to provide lifetime relief from Naga Dosha is known as Nagaprathishta.
