Lalbaugcha Raja Temple is located in Mumbai in the state of Maharashtra, India. Lalbaugcha Raja Temple is dedicated to the Lord Ganesha son of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati. It is a very famous temple and the most revered of Lord Ganesha Temple in Mumbai. Every year thousands of people visit the temple, especially at the time of Ganesh Chaturthi. Ganesh Chaturthi Festival is a very famous festival in this temple the temple looks very beautiful and a huge crowd comes at the time of this particular festival. The idol in the temple installed at the Ganesh Chaturthi is approximately 14 feet tall.
This year the 2025 Ganesh Chaturthi starts on August 26th and the festival continues for 11 days in the Visarjan of the idol on September 6th 2025. The people believe that the Lord Ganesha fulfils their all wishes And the devotees seek blessing from the Lord Gary Sharp. At the time of Ganesh Chaturthi the temple timings and darshan timings were from 5:00 AM to 11:00 PM. The aarti and Special pooja are held in the temple at festivals but the timings may vary. The temple provides darshan like Mukha adarshan and Charan Sparsha darshan. The Mukha Darshan means the pilgrims are devotees who can see the idol’s face in the Charan Sparsha Darshan means the devotee can touch the idol. By Train
The nearest local railway station to the Lalbaugcha Raja is Chinchpokali and Byculla Station is On the central line. For the main darshan of the idol, the devotees or pilgrims have to reach to the Lower Parel Station on the western line and Curry Road Station on the central line. Those are coming from the outer states or from long distances the nearest railway stations to the temple are Dadar, CST and Mumbai Central you can get cab taxis or autos to reach to the temple.
By Road
If you coming by road for Mukh Darshan, the suggested route could be via Chhatrapati Shivaji Ground (Garam Khada) and T.B. Kadam Marg. For Navsachi darshan, visitors can reach the pandal from Lower Parel station on the Western rail line, and Curry Road station on the Central line. If you coming by road, the ideal route could be Dinshaw Petit Lane – G.D. Ambedkar Marg – Dr. Vijay Walimbe Road in Parel Village – Guru Rani Chowk in Parel.
