What is Jal Jeevan Mission Yojana?

This scheme is being run by the Government of India so that taps can be installed to provide clean water within the states and the countrymen can be saved from getting sick by drinking contaminated water and at the same time, employment can also be provided to unemployed youth through this scheme. 

Through this scheme, water tanks will be constructed in rural areas through which clean water will be made available inside the village and jobs like maintenance of this water tank etc. will be provided and employment will be given to the unemployed youth of the village.

Through this scheme, more than one type of job will be made available to the people of the village, such as Water Testing. This job will be only for women who are associated with the self-help group and apart from this, other jobs will also be available like helper, plumber, fitter, mechanic, electrician and pump operator etc. 

There is no need to submit any type of paper to apply under this scheme. Students who have passed 10th and 12th can apply under this scheme. To apply under this scheme, you will have to go to the headman or sarpanch of your village. Under this scheme, you can be given  an income of ₹ 6000 to ₹ 10000 .

  • You will have to take that form and submit it to the village head or Sarpanch.
