Grishneshwar Temple is actually called as Grushneshwar Jyotirlinga. This temple is belongs to one of the 12 Jyotirlinga temples, these temple are dedicated to Lord Shiva. The main place at which this temple is actually situated at the Verul, Maharashtra near to the Ellora Caves. Girsheshwar has become a significant pilgrimage site for devotees.
The temple is originally reconstructed in the 16th century by Maloji Bhosale and after that at sometime restored by Queen Ahilyabai Holkar in the 18th century, although having this much of history this temple is still continues to attract thousands of visitors annually. When coming to the timings The temple is open from 5:00 AM to 9:30 PM, with extending hours during the holy month of Shravan, from 3:00 AM to 11:00 PM. Entry is free, making it accessible to everyone.
In this year 2025 the temple board is conducting numerous activities,hosting various pujas and aartis throughout the day. There so many types rituals like Mangala Aarti at 4:00 AM, Bhog Aarti at 12:00 PM, Sandhya Aarti at 6:30 PM and Shayana Aarti at 10:00 PM. Special events and festivals are drawn in the month of shravan. This month is going to be attracted by the so many pilgrims. The melicifent lights and structures are operated in this event.
